The Foundation Series is an excellent choice for those looking for an all purpose, durable and long lasting whip. they possess superior handling characteristics while maintaining the low maintenance advantage offered by the synthetic materials.
The whip is designed for excellent accuracy and energy transfer through its length, a property assisted by the unique fall design which carries and amplifies the physical energy all the way to the cracker.
This model is available in a wide range of materials and plait counts, from the simpler 16 plait paracord through to the 32 plait fine tactical cord whips. In addition, they can also be made in a newer Dacron lace for greater comfort and a unique appearance.

Foundation series whips have a thicker diameter than the narrower junior series whips, with higher plait count overlays, making for a smoother flowing whip with more weight.
These whips are made with a tapered lead and nylon core, bound with a specially designed artificial sinew foundation. Bullwhips are built up around a spring steel handle foundation.
Longer varieties from 4ft and upwards are reinforced at the handle with a shorter secondary Dacron foundation for additional control.

Originally, this design was only available with a plaited fall, however they are now available with a twisted nylon fall and can be customized with other fall options as desired. By default, the 16 plait paracord options are finished with a twisted nylon fall, while the 32 plait tactical cord options are finished with an integrated plaited Dacron fall.
16 plait Dacron options are made with integrated falls or detachable plaited falls. All of the detachable fall options can be changed quickly using a special loop and can be used with a wide variety of attachments by the user.

The handle pommel is lead weighted and finished with a 9x8 pineapple interweave knot and a convenient miniature loop for easy storage. The whip is waxed in paraffin to protect the finish, this wax also provides additional resistance to weather and to picking up dirt during use.

Each whip is fitted with a cracker which is suited to its type and length.
This whip design and construction is unique to AlphaWhips and can be extensively customized.
The length of the whip is measured from the pommel to the area where the fall begins, it does not include the fall or cracker.
